About the Session

WHO CAN ATTEND: Ideal for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students.

While many of us enjoy being part of social media, its excessive and indulgent use can fuel feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, depression, and even reinforce addiction and the fear of missing out (FOMO). In this discussion our sharings will be aimed at our inability to set, and mindfully act upon healthy techno usage habits, despite our understanding of the long term ill-effects of doing so.

The space aims at supporting, understanding and validating vulnerabilities of students who are motivated to follow healthy techno habits.

Participants can use this space to understand their mental blocks, weaknesses and tendencies which are stopping them from being more responsible with their social media usage.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  1. Introductions: The therapist will typically start the session with introductions,  giving everyone a chance to briefly share their name and why they are attending the group.
  2. Group discussion: The majority of the session will likely be dedicated to group discussion.
  3. Support and feedback: Throughout the session, the therapist will encourage members to offer support and feedback to one another. This may involve active listening, offering suggestions or insights, or simply offering encouragement and empathy.
